A fair look

What Parqet does well, and what that costs you

We compare honestly. Parqet is a good product; these are its real strengths, with the trade-off attached.

🔄

Autosync on every tier

Connecting Trade Republic, Scalable Capital, ING, DKB or Consorsbank and having transactions appear is genuinely excellent, and Parqet includes it even on the free plan. Two caveats: it means a third party holds a read connection to your broker, and the broker list is DACH-shaped. Outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland you are back to file import, which is what we do for everyone.

📱

Native apps and home-screen widgets

App Store and Play Store builds with portfolio widgets on your home screen. Ours is an installable web app: same product on every device, nothing to download, but no native build and no widgets.

🧾

A German tax dashboard

Parqet shows what you paid in tax per year on sales, dividends and withholding, which is a real convenience if you file in Germany. We do not do tax reporting at all, and if that is your main reason for paying, Parqet keeps that job.

Why people switch

The reasons people look for a Parqet alternative

All of these come from Parqet’s own published plan limits.

🎫

One portfolio, five other assets

Parqet’s free tier allows one portfolio, one watchlist and five non-security assets, so a savings account, a crypto wallet, a property and two pensions already fill it. Every account type here is unlimited on the free plan.

💶

Premium costs €50, not around €108

Parqet Plus is €11.99 a month, with three months free on annual billing. Everything we sell sits in one plan at €5 a month, €50 a year, or €199 once, and the core tracker stays free.

🌍

It runs in five languages

Parqet ships in German and English. This runs in English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese, with localized number formats and country-specific account types, which matters if you invest from Spain, France, Portugal or Brazil.

🔒

Nothing to connect

No broker connection, no read mandate, no credentials. You enter positions or import a CSV, and nothing about your accounts is reachable from here.

📤

Export without paying first

Parqet’s CSV export needs a Plus or Investor subscription. Here, exporting your accounts, holdings and expenses is part of the free plan, because being able to leave should not be a paid feature.

🏦

X-ray a fund before you buy it

Parqet X-Ray tells you what is inside the ETFs you already hold. The compare box goes further: point it at any ETF in the registry, owned or not, and it measures that fund against your actual portfolio. Overlap, added concentration, how your sector and country weights would shift. It answers what a purchase would do to you, not just what you are holding, and the result has a shareable link.

Switching

Move your portfolio in four steps

Parqet lets you export your activities on a paid plan, and your broker will export them for free. Either file works.

1
Export your activities

On Parqet Plus or Investor, use "Export as CSV" in the activities overview and it is recognized automatically here. On the free plan, download the trades file from your broker instead: same data, no subscription needed.

2
Create a free account

An email address and a password. No card, no broker connection, under a minute.

3
Import your CSV

Import buy and sell transactions or current balances from CSV, TSV or Excel. Interactive Brokers, DEGIRO, Trading 212, Revolut, Scalable Capital, Swissquote and Parqet exports are recognized automatically; anything else you map once.

4
Add everything else

Cash, pensions, property, crypto and debts, with no limit on how many. Prices update automatically from 53+ exchanges and snapshots start building your net worth history.

Pricing

Free where it matters, cheap where it isn’t

The core tracker (unlimited portfolios and accounts, automatic prices, 27 currencies, snapshots, CSV import and export) is free forever. Premium adds daily snapshots, unlimited history, dividend analysis, ETF overlap, fee impact and the AI advisor for €5/month, €50/year, or €199 once. Comparing more trackers? Frequently asked questions

Is MyFinanceTools a good alternative to Parqet?+

If you want more than one free portfolio, a product in your language, or a tracker with no broker connection at all, yes: unlimited accounts of every type on the free plan, five languages, CSV export included free, and Premium at €50/year against around €108 for Parqet Plus. The honest caveat: Parqet has native apps with widgets, Autosync with 50+ DACH brokers on every tier, a German tax dashboard, benchmark comparison and 40+ currencies against our 27.

What does Parqet’s free plan actually include?+

Parqet Basis gives you one portfolio, one watchlist, unlimited securities holdings, five other assets such as cash, crypto, metals or property, two integrations, basic analysis, 40+ currencies and Autosync. The X-Ray, dividend forecasting, benchmark comparison and tax dashboard start on Plus.

Can I import my Parqet data?+

Yes, and it is recognized automatically. Parqet offers a one-click "Export as CSV" of your activities, though only on the Plus and Investor plans. If you are on the free plan, export the trades file from your broker instead and import that here. Both routes land in the same CSV, TSV and Excel importer.

Does MyFinanceTools sync with my broker like Parqet Autosync?+

No, deliberately. There is no broker connection and no read mandate. You enter positions or import a file. That is the privacy trade-off, and it also means broker coverage is not a question: any broker in the world that can produce a CSV works, not only the 50 or so Parqet supports.

Does it have an ETF X-Ray like Parqet?+

Yes, and one part of it goes further than Parqet X-Ray does. Both show look-through sector and geography weights across the funds you hold, and ours adds pairwise overlap: how much two funds actually duplicate each other. The part with no equivalent is the compare box, which measures an ETF you do not own against your real portfolio, so you can see the overlap and the added concentration a purchase would bring before you make it. There is also a free standalone overlap tool that needs no account.

How much does the alternative cost compared to Parqet?+

The core tracker is free with no portfolio or account limits. Premium is €5/month, €50/year, or €199 as a one-time lifetime purchase. Parqet Plus lists at €11.99/month with three months free on annual billing, which works out at roughly €108 a year, and Investor at €29.99/month. Verify current pricing on parqet.com.

Does it work outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland?+

Yes, and that is a real difference. Parqet is built around DACH brokers and a German tax dashboard. This runs in five languages with 27 currencies, daily exchange rates and localized pension account types for Switzerland, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

Can I try it before moving my portfolio?+

Yes. The public demo portfolio shows the full tracker with realistic sample data, no signup needed. If you like it, a free account takes under a minute and a CSV import can be the first thing you do.

More than one portfolio, free
